  • Is it too cold for me to paint?

  • No. Many paint manufacturers have developed paints that can be used as cold as 38 degrees.

  • Should I thin my paint?
    No. Thinning paint can reduce the quality and durability of the finish. If you must thin the paint to spray it, follow the manufacturers directions.

  • Is "premium" paint really better?

  • Yes. "Premium" paint has been formulated to provide better coverage, durability, and scrubability.

  • Do I have to use primer?

  • Yes. Primer seals the surface of your project. It locks in the tannic acid from wood. It helps you achieve an even coverage and sheen. The durability of the finish is also enhanced by using primer properly.

  • What will remove paint from my carpet?

  • If the spot is fresh latex, use hot water. If it escaped your notice and dried, I recommend "Krud Kutter." This is available at most paint stores.

  • Should I cover my outdoor plants?

  • If you are spraying your project, always cover your plants. If you are using a roller, be careful.

  • How often should I paint the exterior of my home?

  • When your paint shows signs of failure such as:
    Cracking
    Peeling
    Discoloration
    Chalky residue on surface
    OR - when you are simply tired of the color.

  • How often should I paint the interior of my home?

  • Repaint inside when the walls can not be cleaned to your satisfaction anymore. Paint is a wonderful way to express your style. Repaint when you need a change of pace.
